Terms of Service

Last updated: June 21, 2026

1. Agreement

These terms govern your use of UpdateKit, operated by Daniel Gietmann (Gietmanic), Bonn, Germany. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

UpdateKit lets you publish a product changelog and embed a “What’s new” widget in your application. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it current. You must be legally able to enter into this agreement.

4. Acceptable use

  • Do not use the service for unlawful, harmful, or abusive content.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or overload the service.
  • Do not infringe the rights of others or publish content you have no right to publish.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you publish. You grant us the limited license needed to host, display, and deliver that content as part of the service, including on your public changelog and widget.

6. Plans & billing

Paid plans are billed in advance for the chosen period and renew automatically until cancelled. Pricing shown in the app applies; taxes may be added where required. As a small business under § 19 UStG, no German VAT is charged.

7. Availability & warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, to the extent permitted by law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. Termination

You may stop using and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are violated.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email; continued use after changes means you accept them.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and mandatory consumer protections.
